Meet the Artist
Hi! My name is Melissa. I’m a newborn, family and portrait photographer. I currently live in Santa Rosa, but I’m originally from the mid-west. My husband and I moved from Michigan to the North Bay area with our son back in 2013. I am a Mama to two little ones and run an in-home studio out of Rincon Valley. I primarily serve clients in Sonoma County.
I have always been a sentimental person and therefore feel the need to document EVERYTHING. Photography became my natural medium to capture the world around me. When I had children I became obsessed with photographing all those tiny details and fleeting moments. I love finding the beauty in our mundane everyday lives. I believe that as time goes by those are the memories we remember and cherish most. Photography is more than just a business to me. It is my passion, my art. It makes my heart happy to put your life in print. I feel truly honored when a person trusts me to capture their essence, their life and preserve that one moment in time.
