Here are some questions that I get asked often. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.

Maternity:

When should I have my maternity session scheduled? Maternity sessions are typically done between 28-32 weeks, but can be scheduled all up until your due date.

Newborn:

How far in advance should I schedule my newborn photo session? I encourage families to schedule their newborn session as early in advance as possible because we don’t know exactly when baby will be born. I will place your “due date” in my calendar. Typically, you or another family member will contact the studio within 1-2 days of birth to schedule the newborn session.

When is the best time to have my newborn session taken? Typically within the first 15 days after birth. During this time baby sleeps the most soundly and is most easily posable. With that being said, I can still take stunning images of newborns and babies at later stages.

Where will my newborn session take place? In your home or at my dedicated in-home studio located in Rincon Valley.

Do you provide props for newborn and milestone sessions? Yes! I provide props, blankets, wraps, headbands, outfits etc. I can also incorporate any personal items into the session.

Can I request certain poses I have seen by other photographers? Yes, you may and I will make every attempt to give you exactly what you requests. However, there are certain poses that I am uncomfortable with and refuse to do because of safety issues. Keeping baby safe and comfortable is priority!

Family:

How should we dress for our family photos? That is completely up to you! Consider what works best with the season and location that your session is taking place in. You can choose to be casual, formal, or in pajamas. It is your choice! If you are unsure about clothing then I am happy to chat with you prior to the session. I typically recommend picking a solid color and then adding in a fun texture or pattern. Accessories are also a great way to mix and match colors. What if my children are misbehaving and being uncooperative? Oh, please! I am the mother of a few stinkers of my own. I am here so you can RELAX. Please do not stress. I have a few tricks up my sleeve. It is my goal to make this an enjoyable and memorable experience for you and your family.

What do I need to bring to my family photo session? Nothing but your smiling faces! If you have young children then maybe a snack. We all get a little cranky when we are hungry. If you’re okay with it I often bring a little treat for bribery purposes if needed.

General:

How long after the session will it take to get my pictures? Up to 2 weeks, but I typically get them back to clients within 1 week. I will send you a link to your online gallery when it is finished.

How long will be online gallery be available? You will be able to access your image gallery for 2 months from the release date.

Do you offer prints and products? Yes! We are partnered with a professional photo lab that offers a variety of prints, canvases and other keepsake products. You can order directly through your image gallery.

Do you offer payment plans? Yes I do, but you must be paid in full by your session date. If for some reason you cannot pay upon arrival to your session then you will not be able to view or access your image gallery until you are paid in full.
